  • Why BMX?!

At the ripe age of 51, HutSix CEO, Brad Bellette, enthusiastically hopped on a BMX bike for the first time after coaching his son. Though it was a bumpy start, the adrenaline rush and the camaraderie among fellow older riders quickly had him hooked!

Brad made his debut in the BMX Challenge at the World Championships in Nantes, France, in 2022, and he was geared up for the 2023 UCI World Cycling Championships in August. Unfortunately, an injury prevented his attendance.

But don't count Brad out just yet! Things are looking up, and you might just spot him at a State Championship or two in 2023.

Brad's passion for BMX and his commitment to supporting grassroots sports across Australia are unwavering. You can often find him at the Red Centre BMX track in Alice Springs, coaching, and facilitating the AusCycling Learn to Ride program.
